Casanova
Young teenager, Jo Taylor, has been teased and bullied ever since she can remember by the popular kids. Her love for books and literature has seen her get into nothing but trouble with the ‘in’ crowd, leaving her and her group of friends alienated from the mainstream scene. Although commonly named a ‘geek’, Katie is still very beautiful… in her own way.

Josh Woods, a typical 18 year old high school student, is in to everything he’s supposed to be; sports, beer, and plenty of girls – giving him the nickname ‘Casanova’. His string of girlfriends is never ending, and the whole school know about it! The whole school also knows about the strange disappearances taking place after each one of his ex girlfriends have been dumped or taken a dumping. Although this fairly puts Josh in the limelight, no one doubts him and his story about them ‘leaving town’, or ‘changing schools’, as he is the most popular kid in school – every guy wants to be his friend, and every girl loves him. Surely this 18 year old boy wouldn’t do anything to harm anyone?

Katie and Josh find each other in the library, where Josh is doing some extremely overdue school work. Katie befriends him by helping him finish his work, and the pair begin ‘bumping’ into one another on a regular basis. Katie falls head over heels in love, and Josh is happy to claim her as his girlfriend, for the whole school to see. This comes as great shock to the rest of the school as it’s a strange match, but seeing as most of the other popular girls have all now ‘vacated the state’ because of Josh’s dumping, it seems a logical get together. Little does Katie know that a first date to Josh’s home could be a date to her early grave…
When Katie arrives at Josh’s place she only just finds out that he’s living on his own in an empty, desolate old house, half an hour’s drive from town. He makes his excuses, saying his grandmother left the house for him after her death, and that he ‘tends to the garden’ for her. When she spots the back garden, she is astonished to realise there are more than twenty gravestones dotted about the soil field, all with his ex-girlfriend’s or love interests’ names on them. She tries to swiftly exit this murderous home, but he has already figured her out and locked the doors. Faced with the dangerous, sadistic psycho, is it fate she has to fight against or lay down and die another ex girlfriend discovering his grizzly past?...

Our Final Idea -
Although we used my initial idea, we changed the main antagonist to be a tutor of the female protagonist rather than a fellow pupil. We all agreed that this gave it a bit more of an edge and gave the plot a greater sense of danger. We changed the final name to The Mentor to also amplify the trust involved in this relationship established through the bond they share because of the protagonist's age and educational and emotional needs.
